Licences and how to credit

Musicoi only lists music that is in the public domain or released under a licence that permits commercial use: CC0, CC BY and CC BY-SA. Releases under non-commercial or no-derivatives licences are rejected automatically, and so is anything with no stated licence.

What each licence asks of you

• Public Domain / CC0: use it for anything. No credit required.
• CC BY: commercial use allowed. Credit the artist and name the licence. Copy the credit line from the album page.
• CC BY-SA: as CC BY, and anything you build from the music must be shared under the same licence.

Licences are stated by the original publishers. We screen out covers, remixes and mashups, but we are not your lawyer: check that the licence fits your use before you publish.

If you believe a release here is listed in error, email ceo@vncapitals.com with the link. We take it down first and review afterwards, normally within one working day.
